It’s always fun to take a classic and throw it into a futuristic setting. I remember having high hopes for Disney’s Treasure Planet, which seemed like a shoe in for a proper sci-fi conversion, and yet it wasn’t nearly as good as Titan A.E., and that’s saying something.

 

I love the idea that such insanity is common place in the worlds of Manifest Destiny that Tom is just kind of taking it all in, rather than running around screaming. He’s not a heartless man, but we all get a little numb to things when they happen so often.
